The FERAL Men's Performance Over-Short 5" is an ultralight four-way stretch running shell engineered specifically for layering over the FERAL Kinetic compression system.

A low-bulk waistband, stride-opening side splits, rapid-dry woven construction, and deliberately positioned storage create coverage without compromising the performance chassis underneath.

Performance layering only works when every layer understands what sits beneath it.

The Men's Performance Over-Short was designed around that principle.

Rather than combining a traditional loose running short with an independent liner, FERAL separates the shell from the compression chassis.

The result is a lightweight 5-inch outer layer developed to move over the Kinetic Short Tight, Half-Tight, or Full Tight without intentionally interfering with their support architecture, integrated pockets, or pelvic interface.

The shell uses a lightweight four-way stretch woven material targeted for low moisture retention and rapid drying.

Its athletic silhouette provides coverage without creating unnecessary fabric volume through the stride.

Strategically opened side hems allow the shell to separate naturally during hip extension and longer stride mechanics rather than pulling across the thigh.

At the waist, the construction remains intentionally low profile. The waistband is designed to sit underneath or adjacent to the FERAL Modular Fueling Belt without creating an unnecessary stack of elastic, seams, hardware, and pressure.

Storage is deliberately restrained. Rather than duplicating the high-capacity carry system already integrated into FERAL compression bottoms, any over-short storage remains low profile and positioned to avoid directly covering the primary pockets underneath.

Unlike the Kinetic compression family, the Performance Over-Short does not require primary structural Kinetic reinforcement. Instead, subtle // detailing carries the FERAL visual language across the shell without turning decoration into unnecessary structure.

The M-POS5 does not replace the performance chassis.

It completes it.

Development target: 70–100 GSM nylon/elastane four-way stretch woven. Target characteristics include lightweight hand feel, strong mobility, low moisture retention, rapid drying, and a durable water-repellent finish where validated.

Waistband

Low-bulk stretch waistband architecture designed to maintain fit while minimizing layered pressure beneath the fueling-belt interface.

Storage

Lightweight stretch or woven utility pocket construction. Bulky pocket bags and heavy zipper assemblies are avoided wherever possible.

Brand Detailing

Low-profile reflective FERAL // marks. The // language functions as a visual cue rather than a primary structural reinforcement.
